Buying In Bulk Saves Plastic Waste -- And It's Cheaper

National Public Radio's Salt food blog features an interesting piece today about how buying in bulk is often cheaper -- and creates less waste than modern food packaging. Ted Burnham reports:

Buying in bulk also has practical and environmental advantages: You can buy just what you need, and reduce or eliminate wasteful packaging.
